A great day out and a look at Mrs Dick's box - Newark Antiques style.

Posted by Rebecca Bullock on

As I mentioned on my Facebook page, I set off early yesterday morning to hunt for vintage treasures at the International Antiques and Collectors Fair at Newark Showground. This fair is always swarming with people; it has even been listed in the book '1000 Things To Do Before You Die'. Yesterday, for a change, the sun came out - hooray!

I thought I'd share with you some of the beautiful items I took pictures of - what I actually bought will have to follow later!

For those of you who love Florentine furniture - stop here for a swoon!

Who loves vintage china? I dooooo! Here's some pieces I nearly bought but left in favour of other goodies.

I came across this beautiful vintage stall - I loved every single thing for sale!

Lots of other vintage pretties...

I had to show you this comedy gem last of all. Pahahahahaaaa!

  • It is on my bucket list – I nearly went this time, but will definitely go next; busy with uni work atm. As regards the florentine furniture; do you know how to mend chips on the chest of drawers? I inherited one from my mum and it has got damaged :(
